Create Your Own Collection (and a Shawl Sneak Peek)

Today I'm excited to share a new feature in my Ravelry pattern store: the option to "create your own collection." When you buy four Blue Peninsula patterns at the same time, you'll automatically receive a 20 percent discount (no coupon code required).

This new option applies to all individual Blue Peninsula patterns, from neckwear to garments to socks and mitts. Mix and match to get a selection that's just right for you. There's no expiration date on this offer—you can create your own collection at any time (and more than once, if you like). New patterns will be added to the promotion as they are published.

Speaking of new patterns, remember these swatches and yarn auditions? My new triangular shawl is finished and the pattern should be ready very soon. I'm thrilled with how it came out and hope you will be, too. It fairly flew off the needles; the stitch patterns are intuitive and easily memorized. And the asymmetrical shape is really versatile—this shawl can be worn lots of different ways.

The pattern will be called Notch, after the "notch" in the bound-off edge:

It's also named after the photo shoot location—we had a great time taking photos on the ropes course at the Notch, part of the Holyoke Range here in western Massachusetts:

The sample is 63 inches across the top—after fairly aggressive blocking—but you can customize the size quite easily to make it smaller or larger (either stop knitting sooner or keep knitting longer).  The yarn is Louet Gems Fingering, in the Brick Red colorway:

Can't wait to share it with you! In the meantime, have a great Sunday—and as always, happy knitting.

Bonnie,

A great offer to start a Blue Peninsula collection. But, ahem, I already have a Blue Peninsula Collection. I have almost every pattern of yours! I'm looking forward to the release of your latest shawl pattern. Love the color....

Happy Spring,
