The third month of the project has begun. The last things I stitched in February were a large circle in red running stitch (for the cardinal and his spring song), and seed stitch in a pale green (for the new grass emerging).

For March, I began with a circle of linen that I dyed with walnuts from the backyard. I tied it randomly with hair ties and let it soak in a jar of dye bath last month. Where will this lead? I'll find out as the month progresses.

Hi Bonnie, I've really been enjoying watching your stitch journals progress. Thank you for sharing them.
Thanks, Annette. I'm glad you are enjoying them. Bonnie
ME too.
Those playful thread calendars are so interesting as well. x
This is such an incredible project to see unfulding as days go by. It's mesmerizing !
Such a clever way to color code, the calendars are visually just as interesting as the whole stitching project !
Have a great weekend, Bonnie ! ox
Thanks you, Judy and Sonia, for your comments! I like the calendars, too. When the year is complete, I might bind them into a book. Or maybe frame them all together. Bonnie
