Stitch Journal, Week 10

This week, the word that best describes the colors observed and the progress of the season in my backyard is "subdued." I've been using pale browns and beiges—the colors of last year's flower stalks and weeds—and mostly very small random stitches.

My mood has been subdued as well. With various things weighing on my mind and giving me cause for worry, I know I'm not bringing the same joyful energy to the project that I did back in January. But, I continue to stitch—I look forward to picking up needle and thread every morning.

By the way, I've added a few more small artworks to my Etsy shop this week. I hope you'll take a look—every purchase helps support my work as an artist. Thank you!
