Greys and browns this week—for mourning doves and for last year's leaves under trees at the edges of the yard. Yellows and reds—for finches, cardinals, forsythia, dandelions. Violet—for creeping Charlie. Orange—for the sky at dawn this morning above the Pelham Hills.
The season of color is at hand!
