Nothing If Not Quirky

It's Day 23 of my current daily embroidery piece. It's fun coming up with a unique treatment of the oval theme each day.

Day 23

Meanwhile, on the knitting front, my next Blue Peninsula design—a double-breasted vest knit in Woolen Rabbit Emma—is nearing completion. I hope to publish it in early November.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to use mismatched vintage buttons that I got at Knack. I've looked at other options, but so far my eye keeps returning to these. They're all different, a little quirky, and I like that. Tomorrow I'll be teaching embroidery at Knack, so I'll have another opportunity to scour their amazing button stash.

Vintage Buttons

If you're going to Rhinebeck, I hope you have a fabulous time! I can't wait to ogle the pretty yarns and fiber and sweaters on all the post-Rhinebeck blog posts.

That's all for today—I need to get away from the computer, or my vest will never be finished. And I need to finish it ASAP because yarn for a recently accepted design is going to arrive any day now. Once it's here, I'll be knitting and writing on deadline. The color they're sending me looks so beautiful online—I can't wait to see it.

Have a great weekend!
