Muggy Sunday Stitching
Today is Day 2 of a new daily embroidery piece—30 days, six rows, five circles each, six colors used in succession. It's a companion to 28 Days, a circles piece I did last summer. This time, instead of filling the circles with stitches, I'm embroidering the spaces around them.
Squam Art Workshops is almost here. My fabric and trims are ready for making pajama pants in a class with Cal Patch:
I'll also be delving into Bavarian twisted stitches with Franklin Habit and playing around with color in a workshop with Stephen West titled, appropriately, Color Play. Five days of hanging out in a pretty cabin on a sparkling lake in the New Hampshire woods, surrounded by fiber enthusiasts and other creative folks—I can't wait!
I had hoped to post this weekend about my two designs in the new Knitscene Accessories, but my to-do list in preparation for Squam is just too long. More on them soon. The magazine is now in stores, though—I saw it at Barnes and Noble yesterday:
If you're in the midst of a heat wave like we are here in Massachusetts, stay cool!
