Peapod Complete!

Found the perfect buttons for the Peapod Sweater at WEBS yesterday. With this sweater I'd say I've finally gotten over my hangups about seaming--it all went just fine. The only modification I made was to graft the shoulders rather than seam them. The yarn is WEBS's Valley Yarns Superwash; I used US 5 needles.

Next up: The Peapod Baby Hat, in a pink cotton yarn, for a baby girl. And I'm off to a good start on the Arctic Diamonds Stole, from the winter 06 issue of Interweave Knits. The yarn is a laceweight merino from Fearless Fibers.

The sweater came out beautifully! And the buttons are so cute!

You're the only other knitter I've seen who's knitting that stole, which I want to start (whenever my backordered yarn arrives!). It's so lovely.

Beautiful sweater! I love the color you chose for it. I've had that sweater on my to-do list since I first saw it on Wendy's blog. It is sooo cute really. I hope to get to it very soon. Thanks for the inspiration.

Your peapod sweater is precious. How did you like the yarn? I'm looking forward to seeing your arctic diamond stole. I've got some yarn I could use for that one too.

I liked the yarn quite a lot. It's not splitty at all, it doesn't have that "plasticky" feel that some superwash yarns have, and it's springy yet soft. I think it would be terrific for anything cabled--I'm sure they would "pop" nicely.

Peapod turned out STUNNING. That baby better live up to the cuteness of that sweater! (Im sure they will!!)

I almost made the same sweater of the same yarn in the same color. When it first came into the store and I saw the greens I thought "PEAPOD!" Alas, time worked against me. I also ADORE the fishbowl buttons!!
